Not a 'problem' as such, but I know some clever bod on here will be able to tell me what my puter's up to...

The HD can be heard doing something every 5 seconds or so, just a little 'click click'.

Problem is, the PC is about 10 inches away from my head, and it's proper pecking my head - chinese water torture stylee! click click click click AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! :'( :'( :'(

Been throough my startup processes and can't see anything nasty, scanned with norton, adaware and spybot. Nowt.

It's a new PC running WinXP home, not got a lot of software on it, just work stuff.

Anyone tell me what it might be, or any way to see what processes are using the HD?

Mucho thanks!
