WMV videos problem

Been downloading some episodes of bo selecta series 2 today, one of em is a WMV file and I'm having problems playing it. The sound is OK but the picture only updates every couple of seconds and there's lots of interference (coloured squares and distortion of the picture) I have tried several different players and all of them play the same problem. I've also tried a video fixer program for corrupt files, which doesn't recognise the file as corrupt. This is the only version of the file I can find - I've tried several p2p networks and everyone has the same one - so I assume the file is OK, or all these people wouldn't be sharing it.... Any ideas anyone???

I got it off Kazaa but I can only find the same file shared on soulseek as well (ie exactly the same size) Gonna try another codec pack now that someone's given me, if not i'll give that chap a try - cheers andy

Shouldt be a codec issue, for WMV u jusy need the very latest version of Windows Media Player (version 9 I think) and that should do it.

Yeah I've come to the conclusion it's just a crap rip... why do people bother sharing them? It's unwatchable - one frame every 5 seconds
