Get a decent quality soundcard and some recording software such as Soundforge .

Make sure you have a decent processor and enough memory otherwise your recordings with break and block .

Thats about it really ..

You will need the following:

1) A lead that goes from your DJ Mixer OUtput Socket to your soundcard 'Line In' socket (you may need a 'y' adapter to convert a auxiliary lead to a headphone jack.
1a) A soundcard!.

2) Some sort of recording software like Wavelab or Cooledit etc.

3) Shed loads of disk space and processing power. Like probably over a gig space and temp area for the program's cache type thing and enough processing power to turn a huge wav file into mp3. I dunno, but a pentiumII 200mhz would probably not handle it lol.

4) Some learning of the said software to normalise your levels, and of course patience and practice getting the setup right and recording levels right.

Cost, (if you have some software already , and a pc worthy of the task) will be about a £10 er. lol.

See ya bud.

Sirius.
