 Help with e-mail tracing - PLEASE! To cut a long story short, I received an 'anonymous' virus through e-mail last week. All sort of problems. I have my suspicions who sent it, so I've got a 'genuine' e-mail from them to compare headers. Looking at the header information on both e-mails, the same IP address crops us both times. The virus e-mail was sent last wednesday, the 'genuine one' today. Can anyone tell me whether or not these have been sent from the SAME place? I can trace the address to PIPEX, but I can't of course find out who the IP address relates to...  The 'abuse' email service is getting me no-where. Can anyone help? PLEASE?!?!?! If anyone can, please e-mail me at jay.bell@bradbell.co.uk and I'll send you the e-mail headers. Many thanks peeps Jay

| Pipex will not disclose the identity of the user without a court order. They may take action on your behalf tho. Pipex will have logs of who was using that IP at that specific time from the dial-up logs.
