Recording piano samples

Hi guys,

I am trying to record my own piano samples from from external synth to my computer, i need to know how i achieve this, i have all the right leads to my computer from my synth,

the software i have is Cubase VST 32 & Acid pro 3, how do i do it, i just cant seem to get my own piano riffs onto the pc,

Please help

personaly I use Music Matchjukebox and go straight to MP3 then I use cool edit or somehting like that to edit the MP3

Try a program called soundforge.

It's really good for sampling/chopping and fiddling around etc.

Make sure you connect to Aux in on Soundcard (not microphone in).

Brit - do you want to record them in live - or are they recorded via midi and you wish to convert them to audio samples??

You should be able to record directly into Cubase, providing Audio Out on the synth is connected to the Line In on your soundcard. Have you checked in your PC's multimedia settings what chanel it's recording ie Line In and not Mic etc etc.
