IPX protocol installation

What is IPX protocol and where can I get it and install it?????.
Im trying to install a prog but the licence requires IPX protocol. I take it its something to do with a network card......it wont shag in my home network doing this will it?

Send a message via ICQ to The Frog Meister
right clck on network neighnourhood , then install, then click on protocole, then select IPX, then reboot and voila

If you are running XP it's a little different, you select the network connection, then follow the steps above

Problem, just yell

I thought that IPX was Novell's "Old" transport protocol 0they now use pure IP???

Can anyone correct me or advise...

Erm you're right, this isn't the first time I've heard of licenses using IPX, and probably SAP (Service Address Protocol) to operate. It makes sense when you think about it as it's means it's almost impossible to use the same license illegally on the same network.
