May day is upon us :)

On May 1st we shall be opening the all new OSA, it has been a long time in the making and has been made possible with the help of many members off the site

We will basically be turning OSA into a website aswel as a forum, we are currently the most active old skool community on the net. I didnt want to make some piddly front end when we have such a beast of a forum.

And so what i can only describe as a monster has formed over the past months which i feel compliments the great forum we got going on here.

Believe it or not 70% of new visitors that land at OSA's front door turn away within 10 seconds of arriving here, this is due to forum layouts etc being confusing as hell to mr joe bloggs. I remember myself when i first got on the net, found a forum and turned and burned in the other direction

So the plan is to have a nice and easy site, thats ram packed with content to lure the masses on in.

The site will be fully intertwangled (is that even a word lol) with the forum software, nothing will change as is with the forum, it will be just like we have added a big extension on the side of it

Some of the new stuff you will find will include:

• The largest old skool tune archive on the net, with over 1500 tunes to listen to within the inbuilt media player
  
• A huge flyer archive, with over 1700 images for your perusal
  
• A interviews/articles section that will give us much scope in the future for adding stuff for people to read!

This will be just the start of the mission with the new site, we will be adding content and features as time goes on.

Of course this wouldnt be possible without the resources to do it, the bandwith and server capacity to do such a thing is massive and when ya looking at a high end dedicated server to handle it, it costs a bomb

The only reason that its been dooable (and were still even here come to think of it) is down to those who chip in a couple of dibs a month through gold membership. It has enabled me to do things with the site that before wouldnt have been possible, so nice one to all your heads

So stick the date down in yer diaries, until then dont expect to see much of me as il be furiously trying to finish things up under the hood. Expect a bit of random down time here and there but il try and keep things down to a minimum.
