Here are a couple of pics... they're not that great but will give you an idea... the first one is just walking through the pedestrianised town centre at about 7pm on a weekday evening... lots of people about! most of them wanting to stop you in the street to sell you stuff

The thing near the middle of the pic which looks like a flying saucer (just to the left of the bright white oblong of light on the right hand side) is the revolving restaraunt on top of the Radisson hotel
Second pic is of the new financial district, viewing it from the Bund across the river. The really tall unfinished building is "The Blade Tower". Due for completion soon and will be the tallest building in the world when it's done, although probably not for long (there are lots of buildings in progress all claiming to be taller than each other). The slightly smaller one to the left of it is the Jin Mau tower which you can go up. On a slight tangent, my firm's offices are in the Aurora tower shown there
One point of interest, it's worth taking a look at these skyscrapers which aren't built yet... Believe it or not, the scaffolding they put up when building these things is all bamboo
