'03/01' - 'KeToLoCo' London Launch Party! - March 1st 2008

We're goin LoCo.....on March 1st @ SCALA for our London Launch party!

You want underground do ya? Then March 1st at SCALA is where you wanna be at. A cutting edge crew from the techno community has been assembled for your listening pleasure. No Fedde le Grand, no Dj Dave, just some subterranean bass soldiers to get your feet moving and your mind roaming. But who are these soldiers we talk about?

Let’s start at the top, it makes sense to don’t it....

Dusty Kid, aka Paolo Alberto Lodde, is a begrudgingly young, live electro-techno act from Italy that you need to see. He makes the most of technology when playing, but that’s not to say he’s boring to watch; with his album release imminent this is an exclusive opportunity to see one of the world’s brightest Dj’ing and Producing talents take to SCALA’s main stage. If that hasn’t already wet your appetite, maybe the fact that he’s part of Kompakts’ inimitable family will be the pull you need to go check this ‘must see producer of 2008’ out.

Next up... an Irish philosopher but, don’t laugh, he now makes stoically reduced minimal so it’s unlikely he’ll be espousing his thoughts on maternal incest, though that might be a good after party trick.
Donnacha Costello has a great imagination and is a techno experimentalist whom others applaud. Make sure you get yourself in on the action.

Luca Bacchetti has become one of the biggest names in the minimal house scene. These days he makes a whole lot of dark and sombre minimal tech-house, all of which being his own works, whilst his Djing talent has placed him in the demand of the world’s very best clubs. His productions are regularly played by Dj’s such as Ritchie Hawtin, Matthew Jonson, Konrad Black, Matthew Dear, Wighnomy Brothers, Sven Vaeth, Alex Neri, BBC’s Radio1 and practically anyone who has the slightest interest in minimal techno music.

Swedish dude Zoo Brazil is a hard working tech and electronaut that constantly strives to justify the existence of revered DJs by putting so much bloody effort in. Expect a fine selection of tracks all united by a sordid techy undercurrent.

As well as Radio1 and Sankeys’ puerile techno upstart, Mistress de Funk, and production extraordinaires, Bigger Than Jesus, room two will rattle to the wigged out ket-house of Ketoloco. These yahoos really roll with style. Aggressive in parts, tripped out in others, their sound perfectly encapsulates the moment and is the reason for their dedicated following.

Shane Watcha, hmm... his mother must be proud. Known in our realm as ‘a proper wrong ‘un’ he also has considerable talent. After various well-received productions and infamous basement parties ‘Zombies Ate My Brain,’ Shane is a long way from his steady South African up-bringing, but that’s only a good thing for us. Again, techno and electro is his thing, though he lovingly crafts his sets to the requirements of a crowd so rolling, clicky minimal is as likely as combative, raw bass. Excellent.

This is gunna be so underground, even the worms won’t know about it.
