I just can't see the appeal of musicals as ...

- They were sooooo long. (Whole afternoons devoted to a story that could be told in 40 minutes).
- The cult following of Rocky horror and Sound of music, why do these idiots dress up like the cast Whats wrong with them
- The ridiculous spontaneous break in to song and dance routines - why do the cast and everyone in the background all suddenly know the words and moves to this over choreographed shite?
- Some people believe that if they attend this rubbish they somehow obtain more culture in their lives even though they really don't like it.

Musicals really do make me feel queezy, it has the same effect as glam rock

Quality rantage mate!! Loving it!
Any virtue in any of the songs in isolation from the film and bad amature dramatics?

The thread is about great songs from musicals. . .not watching the whole thing. . .

Go on be brave. . . Is there one good song? (ie well written, good construction, good lyrics or harmonies or even covered later to greater effect).

If no, then you real are 110% fudamentalist in your view point and I won't prod you again. . .. in case you lose it!!!

P.S. All Glam Rock as well!!! Not even "Ride a White Swan"!??
