also silky you may also want to consider external storage in form of a portable hard drive - my laptop has a 80gb hard drive which isnt enough space for my musci, but i dont keep my music on my lappy. I have all my music (and my laptop progs backed up) on a 320gb My book

wouldnt be without it - as the loss of my music collection would upset me too much and its way to much to back up on dvd's lol
so if you have to compromise on anything at least you have the external hard drive option to fall back on as my laptop is a HP Pavillion and i had to sacrifice hard drive size in favour of other features the machine had.
