If it works, nice one, if not, re-install XP over itself, in doing so the files stored in the usual locations ie my pictures, my sounds should still be there as you won't have formatted the drive, just re-installed windows over itself.
Nazzer, it isn't as easy to copy data from a drive if Windows has a password as if you installed the drive as a 2nd drive in another PC, it'll not allow access to files on the original drive unless you have shared the folder with all your files in it (just from experience like, others might know an other way) |
Yeah, you just have to take ownership of the folder - in permission, security, advanced, and flush all permissions,
