Find out how you can help OSA!

We need your help!

OSA is the proud work of the many members whom have helped to create it, im not sure about anyone else but im a firm believer in you can always make things bigger!

There are many ways that you can help out the cause, you could add a link on your myspace page or a userbar on other forums you visit. Or you can help contribute towards the biggest old skool audio/flyer archive out there.

Please find below details of how you can help OSA, we appreciate everyones support and help we get along the way

-------------------------------------------------

Add us as a friend on MySpace or join the OSA Facebook group!

Description:
MySpace and Facebook are great ways of attracting new visitors to the site, join the OSA Facebook group or add yourself as a friend on OSA's MySpace page (if you want to put us in your top friends list that would be nice ).

Add a simple userbar link on other forums you visit

Demo:

Description:
One of the easiest and most effective ways to help us get the word out is to add a simple userbar to your signature on other forums you visit. They are widely accepted by forum Admins as they arent too obtrusive or large.

Skills Required:
Pretty much none! simply copy and paste the code in the box below into your signature editor and save (you will find it in your usercp/user options dependant on what forum software your using).

Code:
[url=http://www.oldskoolanthemz.com][img]http://www.oldskoolanthemz.com/images/osa-userbar.png[/img][/url]
-------------------------------------------------

Add a OSA logo to your myspace page/website

Demo:
MySpace.com - DJ Butty - - Club / House - www.myspace.com/djbutty (at the bottom of the about section)

Description:
You can simply add a OSA logo to your myspace page or website, they are the ultimate in chic and are set to be the in thing for 2009 so grab one while you can!

We will add more designs as and when they are needed, if you would like a specific size/colour etc then please let me know and il make one for ya.

Skills Required:
Again pretty much none! simply visit the link below and choose which logo you would like on your page/site. You can then add the html code in the box below it to your myspace profile (i have added it to the bio section on myspace).

Help contribute to the Tune/Mix audio archive

Demo:
The current tune archive can be found here: Old Skool Anthemz - Dance Music Resource - Tune Archive

& the current mix archive can be found here: Old Skool Anthemz - Dance Music Resource - Mix Archive

Description:
The media archive on OSA is one of the largest parts to the site, it is giving people a chance to hear those classics that otherwise they may not get the chance to. It already boasts over 2000 tunes/mixes to listen to online, but we need more!

Skills Required:
You must be half pc literate to be able to contribute to the archive. If you know how to upload via ftp, convert mp3 bitrates and how to rename a file.... in fact if you even know what im talking about there then you have what it takes. Full instructions, apps and help is provided.

The process involves firstly checking to see if the tunes/mixes are already there or not, if they arent then you will need to rename the file to the same format as the others in the archive. It then requires you to change the bitrate of the file and upload to the ftp for inclusion in the archive.

How to apply:
Please pm butty with details of tunes/mixes you are able to add to the archive.

Help contribute to the OSA flyer archive

Demo:
The flyer archive can be found here: Old Skool Anthemz - Dance Music Resource - Gallery

Description:
The flyer archive has been one of the most popular new additions to the site, we have over 1800 images in the archive at the moment, if you have some flyers upstairs in the loft then get them on for the world to see!

Skills Required:
Flyer scans must be your own scans and not downloaded elsewhere off the net, this is due to the gallery software adding a watermark to all images, we dont want to put our stamp on something that was tea leafed from elsewhere.

They should be preferably a decent resolution (around 1000 pixels wide/high is perfect as people will be able to check out the small print etc).

The naming of the post when added needs to be the same standard we have used up to now, full details, instructions and help is given to help you on your way.

How to apply:
Please pm Northern Star with details of flyers you have and are able to upload to the gallery

------------------------------------------------

Watch this space for more details of how you can help contribute to make the nets biggest old skool site biggerer!

If you are wanting to help out with the media/flyer archive please pm the relevant person and not reply to this thread offering to help as it may go unnoticed
