sounds nasty mate
id guess that there's plenty of internal fusing and stuff to protect the components.. so you've prob blown them
try your local technics dealer, but i dont hold much hope as they couldnt get me a replacement circuit board for mine
you may have to either leave them with them or pick up a 2nd hand deck for spares and make one good one from the two
