You have got your facts completely wrong.

Hixxy and stom played the last hour, maybe you were too busy chatting in the vodka bar to notice?

Here is the official statement regarding the other issues on the night. Please note that everything which MISSING had control over was delivered as promised. The things which let the ight down were entirely under the control of venue management, not MISSING and we were very disappointed that they did not deliver on their promises having paid a massive sum to hire the venue..

Firstly, we would like to thank all the ravers for coming and making this a truly amazing event!

We managed to pull off:

The biggest hardcore event of 2006
The only true warehouse rave since the closure of the sanctuary
The first true warehouse rave in the North since Bowlers closed in 2001

And we properly rocked the place!

Unfortunately there were a number of serious problems during the night which were entirely out of our control but which may have affected some people's enjoyment and we would like to apologise of behalf of the venue management for these problems. This venue is very new and has never been used for a hardcore event before so a few teething problems were to be expected. What we didn't expect was that the authorities would decend on us from all directions, testing and inspecting everything.

* Sound issues: The sound systems had to be turned down because environmental health were on the premises monitoring noise levels throughout the night due to complaints received from local residents during events there last weekend. They insisted on the soundsystems being turned right down towards the end of the night.

* Whistles: Enviromental health also insisted that we stop selling whistles because local residents would hear people blowing whistles in the outdoor areas!!

* Fairground ride: The fairground ride was to be organised by the venue mangement, who assured us on the day before the event that it was fully booked and confirmed, however on the day of the event we were told that the safety inspector who needed to approve the siting of the ride hadn't turned up, so the ride had to be cancelled.

* Finish time: We were informed at around 1am by venue management that the authorities had asked for the event to be shut down at 2am on health and safety grounds. After some frantic negotiation we were able to get this increased to 4am but no further. Hixxy drove like mad to make the earlier set time and we hoped to get sy (who was due to play last) on with him for a back to back, but he wasn't able to get to the venue in time. DJs who arrived but were not able to play due to the night being shortened were still fully paid - we didn't have time to cancel people. In particular we are very sorry to those people who were hoping to see sy.

* Sharkey: Sharkey sends his apologies - he had to cancel at the last moment due to unforeseen circumstances and was replaced at very short notice by Marc Smith, who in fact never played after driving four hours to get here due to the night being shortened.

We hope these problems didn't bother you too much and you enjoyed the amazing venue, pyrotechnics, lasers, truly excellent performances from all the acts and last but not least, the fantastic crowd!

Now I must sleep! I've had one of the most stressful nights of my life dealing with all these issues but it was worth it to see so many people having an amazing night. Thankyou!
