What laptop have you got?
It should hopefully have these on the back or the side:
If it doesnt, then eeerrrrm, it doesnt look like your laptop has a built in soundcard, which
may mean you need to buy something similar to this:

but, I have no knowledge on this type of device for laptops, so check a few sites out. If your Laptop has PCMCIA, you can get one that slots in there, but the one I link to above just plugs into a USB socket (from what I believe) which I would think was more suitable and if you ever need to put it to a PC you can do too..
As for your Pioneer tape deck, hopefully you should see this at the back (excuse my drawing lol).
