| Hiya T, not so sure about a standalone player as there slightly different but yes cleaning the lenze the same way may help. Check on the outside of the case to see if there are any warranty seals ( u dont wanna break these if its still in warranty). Genrally just take care when opening the draw and again try and open the draw first when the machine is powered up 1st before u open the case.
Worth a try if its not warranty!
