I *think* from what I've read/seen/heard, a lot of this sexual expression from the womenfolk is mostly fuelled by booze, they get a bit frisky, and as women bond in a way that's often closer than men, ie they openly hug each other, kiss each other on the cheek when meeting, departing, and are very tactile in general amongst themselves. It's this, I feel that makes their sexual expression an easier step for them, whereas men seem very scared of any kind of male on male contact, so as not to be seen as a big gayer or somesuch.
I remember when one of my close friends went off to Australia for 3 months, I was unsure of what the 'goodbye' would be like, so was he.. and I almost didn't go to see him off at the airport (I fucking hate goodbye's as it is anyway, they're always so bloody sad) anyway, it was a strange feeling, but we both hugged and didn't at all feel uncomfortable, but I think this was mostly due to us both knowing we'd not see each other for a few months...
