| I think Iraqi's and sympathisers to the 'cause' should stop whinging for a start, and Id be of the attitude that far from pull out or pussy foot around that Id take this beheading as a good reason to 'kick even more arse' and stamp the gits down a peg or two.
Yeah, lets behead someone just for retaliation to a bit of humiliation - wtf?. I dont think he was even a soldier and was infact there to help rebuild the shithole!. The Iraqi's seem to still be in the mindset of middle age savages on a range of aspects of life - thats my opinion and Im entitled to it, I think they are on the majority a bunch of hotheaded morons with no concept of civilised society and tolerance to other faiths. Once again on a TV news report there was an Iraqi 'leader' or preacher on a soap box in the street waving photo's of the 'british' mistreatment - the fellow Iraqi's in thier usual pose of one hand jabbing in the air in a sort of brainwashed state at everything he's saying. Some of them just seemed to be half heartedly jabbing cos they were expected to do it in society or something like its embarassing NOT to be seen jabbing and waving. Talk about sheep, christ, its like theyve been slipped Fundamentalist pills in thier sleep or something. Shouting and jumping up and down in the street en mass over every minute little thing isnt going to help sort the country out is it you flippin' morons. Try and help sort yourselves out atleast ffs, they just seem to expect it to sort itself out or something.
There is two issues here I think, ones that are becoming indestiguishable from one another - the rebuilding of a so called democracy in Iraq and fighting to stop militant groups taking control or forcing a vote, oil and greed n all the rest of it, and the war of Islam and the current vocal upsurge to try and put Islam across the world which you cant but notice is in the background too (a la Bin Laden and his cronies). If you dont pave way for Islam, youre branded somesort of racist so they then get all what they want, if you say anything against Islam youre made to feel somesort of uneducated bafoon like its 'the only way' and followers of the faith are SO much more enlightened than anyone else. If you go against it in any way or form you become a legitimate target for suicide bombers n stuff . Its crazy.
I think the Media in this country have a lot to answer for, ever since this whole thing kicked off. Sure, nobody likes or wants war, its nasty, horrible, but unfortunately sometimes it has to be done for the greater benefit of others. The way every news reel and report has had an anti-war and undermining taste in its mouth has got right on my tits, also, the change in newsreading tactics where its all gossip and speculation for example where a newsreader would come on in full safari jacket and say something like "Its rumoured here" or "We can draw our own conlusions that...." and all the rest of it. Thats not news, thats one sided speculation and propoganda peddling to implant further disarray and distrust in the whole effort - who's rumour? whose conclusion? Its a farce.
The way the media feed on a story like a pirranha on a steak, with in your face camera footage of every bullet fired isnt helping anyone and winds me up to be honest, and infact its making me (for one) more imune to it. Im sick of hearing about Iraq, fundamentalists, and all the rest of it. The media would be bankrupt if they didnt love to fan the flames of misery to report futher on.
Im not going to watch a beheading. I have no curiousity, I have an imagination and thats enough for me. The thought of a slow knife saw through the neck is quite preturbing enough without seeing it. I heard before that you can actually still see and hear for upto a few minutes after its severed before you flip out and snuff it, your face muscles twitching etc. Shocking stuff.
Ive not tuned into the news for a few days, but I hear that those Lancashire photo's are fakes - which if thats true make sme beg the question who made them and for what purpose?? The way the media has publicised the so called 'abuse' and it being shown on Iraqi TV etc is nothing but bloody treasonous in my view and it could still endager the lives our our lads out there just for a 'good meaty story'.
I REALLY do hope this video turns out to be fake in a counter propoganda drive from Iraqi's.
