Unfortunately, the two shops I went to last have vanished in the last 5 years or so. Im sure there would be others who have taken thier place though, theres probably little pokey repair shops allover the place that could do it for you, its just finding em init.

I dont know manchester very well apart from the center, so I cant be much use there Im afraid. A quick look for "Electrical Repair" on www.yell.com spits out a fair few, lol. Obviously, they could be Hoover repairers or just general electronic goods or something - but the first few are classified under 'repair'
so you could enquire I suppose. Failing that, try that place in Stoke mentioned earlier I suppose .

65 per deck sounds a tad expensive to me, but perhaps its the 'going' rate nowadays. Id have expected both decks being done for that!lol.....but perhaps Im out of touch with reality. I could very well be.

Hope Im not confusing matters with my rambling. Its just that if an RS slider will fit a tecnics, it should be a piece of cake for somebody to do it.
At 65 per deck, I may learn soldering and basic electronics then pack my job in and become a travelling Tecnics repair guy! Kerching!! lol.

Think about it this way, theres some brand new belt drive decks complete with mixer in ARGOS retailing at £199 or less...and to fix both yours are £130...but perhaps thats the way it is now, I dunno.

Wait for that Stoke info I reckon.
