Wrote a big spiel on how we came to be here but then saw the question was "why are we here". I have got no idea is the simple answer.
What is the human race doing to the universe except damage?
If we were put here for a reason then I would love to know it also. Every living creature on Earth has one basic instinct which is to stay alive, hence everyone/everything plods through life doing the best they can to achieve this, incorporating as much happiness (brain energy) into their life as they can. I'm having difficulty trying to make my point which is still - I have no idea.
