Originally posted by ste huxley As for Vertigo, you gotta understand that this guy has a huge record collection, has excellent taste in music and is a legend locally imo
He plays more on a progressive and underground tip throwing in anthems everyso often. He may not suit the cheesy house brigade (dont get me wrong I love that as well lol) but believe there was a lot of vertigo fans at GT that night |
I thought Vertigo was fine as well!! Why do some peeps think he was shite? Coz you didnt like every tune he played?? Vertigo's a brilliant DJ, his mixes are very tight and flawless (Well, Ive never heard him feck up eva) all his tunes are well positioned and blended together brilliantly! Ive never known him to play hands in the air lovin' it piano anthemz one after the other, he teases ya for a few then drops a blinder in perfect position, hence, the drop with 'Technoage', that some peeps have mentioned! But saying that every tune was a 'Tune', If you've got varied dance music tastes! He doesnt just play certain years of dance music i.e '90/'91, he plays old skool, which generally means, tunes from yesteryear, so he'll mix a tune from say '96 into a tune from '89, he's good like that, he's got to play to the crowd!! We're gettin old now, alot of the peeps in the club, could be 16 or 17, and havent heard some of the very early tunes we know, but with a DJ like Vertigo, he can keep the youngsters entertained!!
